Having Mexican hot chocolate at the rooftop bar in the Sears across the street from Bellas Artes in Mexico City, a spot we would never have found without Judit Elek from Local Aventura, with whom we did an awesome photography tour.
Everything about Meroma, a terrific new restaurant in the Roma neighborhood in Mexico City.
The inventive and delicious cocktails at Fifty Mils, the bar at the Four Seasons Mexico City (such a lovely hotel in every respect).
The grounds at the Parker Palm Springs, which includes such delights as a cafe tucked away in a lemon grove and a bocce court.
The beach at Club Med Punta Cana.
The Parker House rolls at Kinship in DC.
The outdoor bathtub setup at Unico 20 87.
Fresh Shave shaved ice at Warehouse 3450 in Kaua’i.

The hospitality and amazing food served up by Sparrows Lodge, in Palm Springs. They were so kind to a couple of travel agents who showed up without an appointment and let us poke around.
The Na’Poli Coast boat tour.
The Three Brothers BBQ panini at Three Brothers Gourmet Market in Hanalei (kalua pork, cheddar, housemade pineapple BBQ sauce, white pineapple jam). I will never another sandwich this good in my life.

The unbelievable art collection at the Domaine de Chantilly, as well as the stellar hospitality at the Auberge du Jeu de Paume, next door.
The Royal Suite at Verride Palacio Santa Catarina in Lisbon.
Everything about Sao Lourenco do Barrocal but especially the cows wandering the property, the pools, and the best facial of my life at their Susanne Kaufmann spa. Honorable mention goes to the heated floor in the bathroom.
The chocolate-covered ginger bites at Chocolateria Equador in Lisbon and Porto.
The negroni at the bar in Six Senses Douro Valley. (Okay, that one’s my husband’s contribution.)
